Apache 2.2 and PHP 5.1.6 having “The Specified Module can not be found”

So, I had the above problem when trying to install those.

How did I fix it?

I found this topic:

then, looked up the page linked in the Wayback archive:

And got the following file:

XAMPP – Complete Apache, MySQL, PHP package in one quick install!

Someone at work just referred me to XAMPP– sounds great. Open source, tons of applications I use all the time (PHP My Admin, well.. OK, I use a mySQL ODBC program, but still!)… etc!

Seems pretty bitchin’. Maybe I’d do this if I have a windows install in the future…!
